Greeting
What is “Peace”?
What is “Growing Old”?
Ichimoto Yurie (1927 - 2014), my mother in law, kept asking herself these questions all her life. And she actively tried to find the answer on her own.
There will surely be an opportunity for those who never give up pursuing their dreams even in adversity. While if you just stop following your ambition and just decide yourself that everything is over, Yurie must have called them “Peace” and “Old Age” respectively.
At the age of 75, together with her husband Takayuki, she was enrolled in the Art School she had long been dreaming of entering, and later she even succeeded in studying in China. Supported by many, she made her dreams come true.
Who would view her as too old?
Who could deny her calling her own life in this world as “Peace”?
When you have a look at Yurie’s pictures and understand her sincere messages in them, surely you can have an opportunity to ponder what “Peace” and “Old Age” mean.
